An artist is more than just a painter. Backplane and Spotify present the Artists Hack, a hackathon dedicated to building the future of music, art, video, collaborative thought during SxSW.

Preliminary schedule:

• 10am: Arrive, networking, brunch
• 10:45am: Welcome from Backplane and Spotify
• 11:00am: API demos (5 min), open call for hack ideas
• 12pm: Lunch
• 6pm: Dinner
• 7:30pm: Closing remarks from Matt Michelsen, Backplane CEO
• 7:45pm: Hacking ends, demos begin. Judges will review as a group and rank ideas
• 9pm: Judges award best prizes
• DJ performance (TBD)
